Constructed waxed canvas originated in the sailing industry in Scotland in the 1920s and became widely used in sportswear and apparel because of its waterproofing abilities and superb durability.

Bought this as a gift for my husband, with the custom monogramming. Everything about it is wonderful – the colors, the weight, the hearty texture, the solid quality of the hardware. He was delighted to find his name on the little leather brand. Feels like it will hold up wherever we go, indoors or outdoors. I look forward to seeing it a little dirty, worn a little shiny, years down the road.

Although I really wanted the purple berry color this Red Maple color is amazing and although I have an all black Sendak I could totally see myself buying the red maple just to match this beauty . It fits many pencils and my fave size in the pouches . As always Peg and Awl make a product that will last you a lifetime . Thanks so much guys . Keep rocking
