From "There is a Great Deal I Do Not Need To Know."
Walter and I were discovered by the police at an abandoned house and had to leave our first attempt at this photograph. We moved on to another house the same day and were again found out, the second fellow was kind enough to let us finish the photograph. I have a Wildabeast tail tied to my back, a gift from the father of a friend in Nova Scotia, he hunted the beast in Africa. The title comes from Ovid and the rest of the story I shall leave out. I did nearly kneel down upon a bird skull though - I brought it home.
show details:Opening 1 October 2010, Art in the Age is proud to present the works of Margaux and Walter Kent, featuring animal sculpture by Darla Jackson. In a collection of woodworking, photography, paintings, sculpture and found objects, this trio is no stranger to the delicate balance between light and dark that this particular time of year evokes. In their subtle strayings, they illuminate the various features of darkness that have been concealed by light, and attempt to access, dangerously, a path that leads to oneself.
