Large Waxed Canvas Tote

I already have the large waxed canvas tote in Radish but when I saw it in Almond on Catharine Mi-sook’s IG, I couldn’t resist looking into it more because I really wanted it. Being the klutz that I am, I was worried that I would ruin the tote with it being such a light colour. Catharine and Margaux kindly answered my many queries and after some consideration, I took the plunge. I couldn’t be more pleased when it (and the matching Scholar Pouch) arrived; the colour is just sublime, especially against the veg tanned leather. And it has plenty of space for everything I like to carry (and that is saying something because I would carry my kitchen sink with me if I could!). Last but not least, as with everything made by Peg and Awl, the workmanship is incredible. I am beyond thrilled with my purchase and would definitely be back when I need another bag/pouch.

I'm delighted with this tote! I originally bought it to be my teacher carryall. It fits my purse, lunch tote, any other projects I'm working on, and all the bits and bobbles needed for the school day. I particularly love the 2 inside book pockets. I used it as my carry on for a domestic flight and it scooted right under the seat in front of me. Large enough to carry everything and small enough to meet the plane's requirements. It's a beautiful and practical bag and I know it will last a long while.

This is such a thing of beauty! Due to my own ineptitude I wasn’t sure if I was going to be getting the antique leather version of this bag or the new vegetable tanned straps - when it arrived it turned out to be the latter and I was not disappointed! The leather is stunning and is already (after a couple of weeks of daily use) starting to age beautifully. The detailing of the rest of the bag is perfect too, even down to the 1900 dressmaker fabric edging on the internal pockets. Worth every penny and thank you for the superb customer service!
