Inspired by olde bucket-shaped satchels, from apple-picking bags to firemen’s buckets to leather feed sacks. Finished with an overalls/apron-like front, our bag reflects the roots of early Americana.

When closed, the bag is neat and tidy and a workhorse for everyday carrying, be it for tools, diapers, or daily hauling. Basket-like when un-zipped, the bag is a treat for small garden harvesting, going to market, picnicking or any kind of over-stuffing.

Constructed waxed canvas originated in the sailing industry in Scotland in the 1920s and became widely used in sportswear and apparel because of its waterproofing abilities and superb durability.

- 15 oz. waxed duck canvas (19 oz. with wax)

- Leather handles from vegetable-tanned leather

- Vintage fabric pocket lining varies from bag to bag

- Black YKK zipper with brass teeth

- Zipper separates and tucks inside bag when not in use

Could not love them more.
Could not love them more. Second time ordering for gifts. I will be back. Durability, practicality, beauty, quality. And the correspondence was a++. I followed this shop for years before I ordered. Shipping to Canada was painless. Don't hesitate like i did. Worth every penny.

Buyer Beware.
Bought a gatherer bag 5 yrs ago and loved it. When I wore it out I bought a red replacement but straps are totally different , stiff, longer, wider, and generally not cool-looking like my first one. Asked for money back and was refused. Not a good way to treat repeat customers! I bought other P and A bags for friends in past. But never again.

Perfect!!!
I have admired the look of this bag for a long time and finally decided to purchase it to use at a knitting festival I was attending. I was looking for a dual purpose bag - to carry my essentials and newly purchased treasures. I also wanted the straps to be long enough to easily carry on my shoulders. It succeeded on all points. I was amazed at how much it was able to hold when unzipped. If you are a knitter, it would make a great sweater project bag to take to knit night. If you are not a knitter and are looking for a great all-around bag, look no further. It is well made with one inside pocket which is split into three sections and an outside pocket as well. I love everything about this bag and would highly recommend it.
