Inspired by Civil War medical bags traditionally carrying medical supplies and remedies, as well as the Dopp “kit” issued to soldiers for storing grooming tools, our Dopp Case is designed to suit all apothecary travel needs.

Custom Monogramming

Emmett, our laser engraving machine and in-house scribe, allows you to personalize our bags! Purchase separately here.

The monogram is laser-engraved on vegetable-tanned leather and attached with brass rivets (see the product photographs for an example). Note that the monogram is on the reverse side of the bag and does not replace the Peg and Awl brand. Be sure to include your wished-for letters in the order notes (up to 3) when placing your order! MONOGRAMMED BAGS ARE NOT RETURNABLE.

I bought the Dopp case
I bought the Dopp case for my watercolor supplies and it is the perfect size. It holds the metal case of Schmincke paints, 3 small watercolor blocks, a collapsible water cup a bag of brushes, pencils, and pens, and a towel. I have everything I need wherever I want to go paint.

Dopp Case in almond
It is so cute and functional! It's just the right size to travel with, and I love the almond color! Great craftsmanship with the waxed canvas and leather. I just haven't seen anyone else doing this.

Dopp Case
One of my favourite bags I own. Love the rustic look and stunning craftsmanship. Peg and Awl added a strap as per my request so I could turn this into a crossbody art bag. I can carry a moleskine watercolour album plus watercolour art supplies (sometimes in my mini Sendak roll which I also love and put in this bag), wallet, phone, spender pouch (holds my mini toiletries), keys and snacks. Don’t be fooled by the size as this bag holds a lot!! I requested this bag in the colour Truffle. Beautiful products. I have numerous items from this creative family owned business.

Backpack
The backpack is well made. Sturdy! I love the color and how it fits on me. I’m pretty short 5’4… the backpack is comfortable. Carries a lot too.
