We’ve concocted a few All Black Readers and lined them with some of the last of our gorgeous black and white tulip textile from the 1800s! This is a very small batch of these bags – they are of a kind and not returnable.

This is a larger version of the Reader tote. Inspired by my “Weekly Readers” book club tote that served as my bag for many years, this small tote is perfect for a few essentials and will leave you unburdened, especially if you are the type who loathes a weighty carryall. Perfect for books, iPads, e-readers, &c.

Waxed canvas originated in the sailing industry in Scotland in the 1920s and became widely used in sportswear and apparel because of its waterproofing abilities and superb durability.

- 15 oz. waxed duck canvas (19 oz. with wax)
- Leather handles from black vegetable-tanned leather
- Black and white tulip textile pocket lining from the 1800s
- Brass rivets
- Fits most iPads and other tablets

    Great Carryall for the Coffee Shop

    I totally love the handmade craftsmanship in this large reader. It is the perfect size to carry my iPad and my journal and sketching supplies to the coffee shop for some well-earned me time. The large reader already feels like an old friend. So glad I discovered Peg an Awl.
