Yoga mats can be unwieldy creatures. I struggled with my mat to and from class before Walter took notice and surprised me with a Peg and Awl yoga mat carrier for my birthday. Hauling my mat has been a dream ever since!

Constructed from waxed canvas and vegetable-tanned leather, the Uma Yoga Mat Carrier will be the last one you need. Roll up your mat, buckle it in, throw it over your shoulder, and make your way to practice – and if you are walking, make sure you take the long way! The straps are adjustable for all shapes and sizes of people and mats.

Custom Monogramming

Emmett, our laser engraving machine and in-house scribe, allows you to personalize our bags! Purchase separately here.

The monogram is laser-engraved on vegetable-tanned leather and attached with brass rivets. Note that the monogram does not replace the Peg and Awl brand. Be sure to include your wished-for letters in the order notes (up to 3) when placing your order! MONOGRAMMED BAGS ARE NOT RETURNABLE.

    Perfect even for large mats

    I love this carrier! I walk to do beach yoga a lot and my mat is large and heavy (Makduka). This fits it perfectly even without me having to try and roll it as tight as possible (I just roll it as I always do). I can still carry it with a yogi toes towel in there too and then there’s a gap (still can carry it though!). I am SO glad i got this. Thank you for impeccable craftsmanship and customer service (they added this on for me after I made a purchase too!) I’m going to try and attach a photo

    UMA Yoga Mat Carrier

    Yoga Mat Carrier

    While I thought this was a nice gift, the intended recipient, my wife, did not. It was well made and attractive, just like my wife, but she did not fancy the buckle straps, would have preferred a fastener like velcro. It was also too small to accommodate her enormous yoga mat, apparently. I would like to exchange it for one of the many other products you have for sale, but alas I no longer have the receipt. If you are willing to agree to an exchange under these circumstances let me know. I do have some other merchandise in mind that she may fancy.

    For the record I did think it was a very nice yoga mat carrier. The one star is because she did not like it. I would have given it four stars.

    The Best Carrier Ever!

    I have been looking for a mat carrier that wasn't just a zipped up bag. This one is perfect! It wraps my mat up nice and snug and stays tight. I got it in Moss and the color is absolutely beautiful. Could not be happier with this!
