Description
The Wyeth Plein Air Box is a portable art studio that holds everything you need for your painting adventures. Built of FSC-certified wood, it has a front leather pocket to keep your sketchbook and other art supplies safe. The leather shoulder strap and threaded tripod mount insert make on the go set up easy. The included Helga Paint Brush Roll securely snaps to the shoulder strap and fits ten to fifteen brushes and other mark making implements.
Once opened, the Wyeth transforms into a compact studio designed for 9x12 inch canvases but able to accommodate a canvas up 16x20 inches. The lid attached with sturdy metal torque hinges becomes the easel that can be set to any angle. Two side walls pivot out serving as shelves for holding brushes and jars of brush cleaner or medium. Inside is a 9x12 inch Corian palette, a storage/drying slot for an extra 9x12 inch canvas and two drawers large enough to hold fifteen 37 ml paint tubes and bunch of extra art supplies. The brush roll unfurls, snaps onto the leather shoulder strap and hangs down for easy access. Instead of fumbling with and tripping over multiple bags of supplies and gear, load up the Wyeth pochade box and throw it over your shoulder on your next plein air adventure. Box
The box features an easel that holds a 9 in by 12 in (22.9 cm by 30.5 cm) canvas securely in the slots, and can accommodate up to a 16 in by 20 in (40.6 cm by 50.8 cm) by using clips. The two fold-down sides are notched and recessed to conveniently hold up to 12 brushes as you work and also act as tables to hold supplies as you work. Two slots in the center section hold the Corian palette as well as a 9 in by 12 in (22.9 cm by 30.5 cm) canvas for drying and transport.
