Constructed with durable waxed canvas and finished with brown vegetable tanned leather, our Tote is a blank slate waiting to be marked with the adventures and stories of use. For those city dwellers, travelers and others wanting more security, the Tote has a separating zipper that tucks neatly in the bag when not needed.
Waxed canvas originated in the sailing industry in Scotland in the 1920s and became widely used in sportswear and apparel because of its waterproofing abilities and superb durability.

Thanks to Margaux’s amazing bookbinding videos, I’ve taken up making my own journals as well as for family and friends. My new Waxed Canvas Tote is now my bookbinding bag! Great bag and great quality and durability! I’ve already taken it on a Plein Air outing with my Marlowe carryall, and my other small Peg ‘n Awl bags and it housed all of the supplies I needed nicely! I love using all of the bags, and plan on buying more soon!

As a hand maker myself, I do appreciate the quality of this bag. It is made with real intent. Hard to find practical and beautiful, well made products today.
