Description

The Sendak Artist Roll is designed with the nomadic artist in mind. This treasure carries your current arsenal of tools with you from the studio to coffee shop to en plein air.

In the Kent family, the Sendak has become an interactive centerpiece. Placed in the center of a table or picnic blanket, a group of drawers and dreamers gathers ’round. A session begins and ends with the Sendak, filled with a bouquet of colors, brushes and pens. As its namesake Maurice Sendak wrote, “Let the wild rumpus start!” And get messy – because clean-up is easy!

    Extremely Happy With My Purchase!

    I am an avid journaler. I came across the Sendak from a YouTube review of this product made by another journaler. When I saw it, I was taken back. A beautiful spread for pens, pockets for field notes, a larger A5 notebook slot…Amazing! The fit and finish of the wax canvas and leather appeared excellent ! Super functional with just the right esthetic. When I received my Spice Sendak with black leather in person, I loved it even more. It feels very well made with quality materials and attention to detail. I am using the Sendak to hold a “blacked-out” A5, with an assortment of gel pens for daily notes, thoughts, planning, etc. It also goes with me to work as part of my EDC. I highly recommend! Well done Peg and Awl!

    Really Something

    This is simply beautiful and something I hope to have forever and ever. I sometimes open it up and just stare at it wondering how we will both grow and change through time. Will pencils turn into brushes? Will pens sneak in?

Personalization

Emmett, our laser engraving machine and in-house scribe, allows you to personalize our treasures!

Be sure to include your wished-for letters in the order notes when placing your order! We recommend choosing a few characters — such as initials — but we can accommodate up to around 11 characters or a full name if requested.

The monogram is laser-engraved on vegetable-tanned leather and attached with brass rivets (see the product photographs for an example). Note that the monogram does not replace the Peg and Awl brand. MONOGRAMMED SENDAKS ARE NOT RETURNABLE.
