Constructed waxed canvas originated in the sailing industry in Scotland in the 1920s and became widely used in sportswear and apparel because of its waterproofing abilities and superb durability.

I must admit I have a bit of an obsession with Peg and Awl bags and pouches...
It all started with the SCHOLAR's pouch for my pens & pencils: a graceful accessory to nonchalantly show off in a university meeting under the envious eyes of faculty colleagues.
