Often times our most wonderful discoveries are merely the recognition of what is before us – and in this case under foot! Our botanical jewelry collection was inspired by our unearthing of the usefulness of invasive weeds and pays homage to its winged cultivator.
Purslane is a plump, rambling succulent with gentle yellow flowers that open only when the sun shines – rather ill-fitted to being called a weed. It is salty and crunchy – a satisfying edible (and rich in Omega 3 fatty acids!) that makes a great addition to salads. It certainly takes over, but our mouths and tummies are happy for this.

This is an adorable little necklace. I have to say that I was a bit disappointed that the chain arrived at 18inches when I requested 16inches at the time of ordering. I hope to adjust it myself.
