Constructed waxed canvas originated in the sailing industry in Scotland in the 1920s and became widely used in sportswear and apparel because of its waterproofing abilities and superb durability.

I purchased the Maker Pouch before a trip to Italy. I used it to hold my travelers notebook, sketching tools and envelopes for ephemera that I collected along the way. It was able to hold everything I wanted and more. I have purchased other bags from other sources claiming to do the same but did not. I continue to use this pouch and love the texture and craftsmanship.
I also want to give a shout out to Peg and Awl for the YouTube book binding videos. They are so helpful and straightforward. I am getting ready to make two more for my one hundred day project.
