I had been eyeing Beam Paints for awhile and the opportunity to get one of Peg & Awl's tin kits was the perfect opportunity to check them out. The colors are lovely and dreamy, activate quickly, and are some of the highest pigment concentration I have, based on the residue and mica at the bottom of my wash cups. (Having both Mars Black & Timberwolf Grey is overkill. I would have loved a different color for one of these, but it's easy enough to swap it out with another Beam.) The cardboard "pans" are sturdy enough to hold up to water. The tin is indeed in pristine condition, so much so you'd swear it was a reproduction. Nonetheless, the tin makes me smile every time I look at it, and I have brought it into the field with my mini Sendak, naturally.

1st, the tin is in really great shape.
2nd, the Beam Paints are easy to work with and the colors are wonderful. Love the selections you choose.
Love the handmade containers/pans too.
