We’ve made a small batch of petite paint sets, including hand-mulled paint and a brush rest. Our Ghost Green watercolour paint is made from Wissahickon Schist, a rock commonly used in many historical Philadelphia buildings, that was pulverized when digging the well for our barn. It is gritty in texture, and a cool grey green. It is set in a Bioplastic Pan, made by Poems About You, that fits into our Painter’s Palettes.
The brush rest is made from extinct* American Chestnut beams that held up our barn for nearly 200 years. Walter used the beams to create our barn studio doors and made these delicious little brush rests with the scrap. They fit perfectly into the zipper pocket on our Sendak Artist Rolls and may just make clean up a touch easier!
This paint and brush rest is final sale.

This color is so calm and serene. It reminds me of the color of the ocean up here in Maine. The rest is just an added bonus.

The care that goes into making these paints is reflected on any canvass; and the brush rest is "icing on the cake."

I was very excited to get this handmade watercolor paint and have not been disappointed. The paint color is lovely and I have it in my plein air garden palette. I use it to great effect when painting stone walls. The color is perfect for this and the fact that it is a local soil makes it even more appropriate. The paint brush holder is beautifully made and it all came in a lovely bag.
