The Nutshell is the ittiest bittiest in the Sendak Family, meant to suit your artistic needs in the most minimalist way—though we’re certain it’s not the quietest! It has all the charm of our other Sendaks: waxed canvas, vegetable-tanned leather, lots of pockets, and a zip pouch.
Pack it, tuck it into a bag or pocket, and away we go!

This is my third Sendak (also have mini and standard) and it already is my favorite! It is the perfect size for carrying my writing tools and a small 3.5’ x 5.5’ sketchbook in the back open pocket.
I’ve been able to fit a number of fountain pens, fine liners, pencils, erasers and swap in some travel brushes whenever I want to bring a painting kit with me that day. Highly recommend grabbing this one for a smaller and even more portable version of the already awesome Sendaks!

This is my third version of the Sendak (also have the Mini and Full) and it has become something I carry with me everywhere since it came in! I've found that it can fit most of my fountain pens and Tom's Studio Lumos Mini's very well. A pencil/eraser combo that fits perfectly in a single slot is the Leuchtturm 1917 Drehgriffel Nr. 2 Pencil with the Tombow Mono Zero eraser. Travel brushes are also easily swapped in, and I've found that a single 3.5 inch by 5.5 inch notepad or sketchbook fits quite well in the outside pocket for a complete travel kit.
This one was so great that I also ordered one for my wife. It is her first Sendak and she is also using it daily. This is the perfect size for a condensed set of tools, and something I am going to be using a long time, highly recommend!
