Constructed waxed canvas originated in the sailing industry in Scotland in the 1920s and became widely used in sportswear and apparel because of its waterproofing abilities and superb durability.

I love the quality of the build of this pouch, and of course the color. One of my favorite things about to is the zipper quality and how I know it won't snag and will last a long, long time. I'm definitely going to order more items from Peg and Awl and know I get to keep and use them for the long haul, which makes the price much more digestible for those on the fence. I've replaced so many cheap pouches and now am excited to start having things to last.
