We guarantee our products to be free of defects in the materials or craftsmanship. We will be happy to replace any defective products. Wear from normal usage is not included in this guarantee.
We believe firmly in creating enduring products whose lifespan can be lengthened by repair. Many of the materials in our products have already seen at least one lifetime of use, and have accumulated stories which are now proudly displayed in the character of our objects. Each further marking, crack, or dent accumulated throughout each object’s new life – and the patches applied thereto – are further stories to proudly display. A NOTE ON OUR OBJECTS
Much of our work is made from olde things, treasures found and recovered from misfortune and neglect, relics of the unusual, the confused and the macabre, cut and pulled and built into wearable curiosities, inscribable keepsakes and useable, long-lasting treasures.
Our materials have character, and that’s what we enjoy about working and creating with them. Although we strive to describe and photograph each product as accurately as possible, the antique and salvaged materials often lend the unique marks of their past life to each object. All US orders $200 and over receive FREE shipping automatically. We ship 3 days a week, Wednesday through Friday, from Philadelphia, Penna. Everything comes minimally packaged with tags, jute, muslin pouches, &c. We pack our boxes to ensure safe transit while also minimizing waste from packaging materials.
Please wait 24 hours from the time you receive a shipping confirmation email before inquiring about the status of a package.

If you receive an object and it is not as you hoped, please let us know and we will do our best to make it right. Please contact us with your order number at email@example.com within 10 days of receiving the package. We will send you an exchange/return authorization form that must be filled out and included in your package.
Items must be returned in the original condition they were received, along with any tags or packaging. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. International customers will also be responsible for any duties and taxes that may apply. Back to top
We will gladly accept returns on objects in new, unused condition with all tags and packaging intact. If you would like to return an object, contact us with your order number at firstname.lastname@example.org within 10 days of receiving your order. We will send you an exchange/return authorization form that must be filled out and included in your package. You do not need to include the original receipt with your return.
You may return your item for store credit or a full refund of the amount which you paid at the time of purchase, except in the case of furniture, which will be subject to a 10% restocking fee. The buyer is responsible for return shipping. International customers will also be responsible for any duties and taxes that may apply.
Products that are ineligible for return include:
- Custom products (custom-sized Tub Caddies, custom-tagged products, &c.)
- Customized products (products with custom engraving, monogrammed bags, &c.)
- Gift Cards
- Sale items (including Mystery Boxes)
Returned goods are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse – make sure they are packed properly and cannot get damaged on the way. All goods will be inspected on return.
Refunds will be credited back to your original method of payment, and will post approximately three days after the date of processing.
Only products purchased directly through Peg and Awl may be returned. Peg and Awl products purchased from another retailer must be returned to the original seller. Back to top
If an object you receive is damaged, please contact us with your order number at email@example.com within 48 hours and include a photograph of the damage. Please keep in mind that some marks may simply be indications of the past life of the antique materials we use (see the “A Note on Our Objects” section above). CUSTOM WORKS AND FINAL SALE
We offer custom engraving and monogramming on many of our products, as well as certain custom-sized products such as Tub Caddies. These and any other products that have been customized specifically for you are not returnable.
We may accommodate certain customization requests that are not offered on our website. We will review any customization requests and let you know whether we can accommodate them and whether they will require any additional fees and/or additional lead time. Below are some examples of what changes we will be likely to accommodate or not:

- Longer/shorter bag strap or handles (would require an additional fee and/or lead time)
- General fabric lining requests or exclusions (i.e. No red, or "blue and white only", &c.)
We will resize silver and bronze rings for free once (buyer is responsible for return shipping to our workshoppe). Any additional resizings can be done for a small fee. Gold ring resizing may require an additional fee. To arrange a resizing, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Gold rings sent back for resizing must be fully insured. Peg and Awl is not responsible for lost or damaged packages.
All gold jewelry is custom-cast per order, and may make up to 3 weeks to ship. Gold jewelry is not returnable. Back to top
