Inspired by Autumn, we’ve put together a small batch of some of our favourite bags in four new colours: Elderberry, Red Maple, Birch, and Fog.
These are part of a small batch collection, and are not eligible for coupon code discounts.
Constructed with durable waxed canvas and finished with brown vegetable tanned leather, our Tote is a blank slate waiting to be marked with the adventures and stories of use. This is the holy grail in unisex carryall totes: practical and perfect in every way. This tote was built to endure. Load it up, bring it everywhere.
For those city dwellers, travelers and others wanting more security, the Tote has a separating zipper that tucks neatly in the bag when not needed.
Waxed canvas originated in the sailing industry in Scotland in the 1920s and became widely used in sportswear and apparel because of its waterproofing abilities and superb durability.
Custom Monogramming
Emmett, our laser engraving machine and in-house scribe, allows you to personalize our bags!
The monogram is laser-engraved on vegetable-tanned leather and attached with brass rivets (see the product photographs for an example). Note that the monogram is on the reverse side of the bag and does not replace the Peg and Awl brand. Be sure to include your wished-for letters in the order notes (up to 3) when placing your order! MONOGRAMMED BAGS ARE NOT RETURNABLE.

This is my second Waxed Canvas Tote. I carried the first moss-colored one for years. I fell in love with the ease of carrying a bag offering space for odds and ends and a comfortable wide leather shoulder strap. The Autumn Colors are rich and vibrant. I only wish that the tops of the interior pockets stitched were stitched with a contrasting fabric. If you are considering buying a tote, treat yourself and enjoy it! Well worth the investment.

I’ve already purchased several Peg & Awl bags over the years but when I saw the special autumn colors I had to get another. The elderberry color is absolutely gorgeous. And the tote is top quality as always. I was a little disappointed that the autumn bags don’t have fabric trim on the interior pockets but that doesn’t detract from the overall appeal at all. Another winner!
