Description
We’ve put together our very first small batch of Of a Kind Sendak Artist Rolls made from vintage cotton feedsacks that I’ve been slowly gathering from flea markets. These are full of vintage charm, featuring art and lettering, and various weights and weaves from the original vintage sacks. They are softer than our classic Sendaks made from waxed canvas – a new adventure altogether. We’ve made some Minis, some Classics, and some in a new size – our miniest yet – the Nutshell!
Spot clean with care. Some of these vintage sacks were printed with water-soluble ink so the textiles could be reused, and they have varying degrees of fading from over the years. We washed them in our machine to assure the removal of any topical yuk, as we do with all of our vintage textiles. Any remaining marks are evidence of their former lives. Now, you get to add the next marks from your adventures.
Each one is unique and stitched with a matching whitish thread and finished as usual with our vegetable tanned leather.
Roll it up, throw it in your bag, and set out on an adventure.
