Constructed waxed canvas originated in the sailing industry in Scotland in the 1920s and became widely used in sportswear and apparel because of its waterproofing abilities and superb durability.

This is the perfect size pouch to hold 5-6 travel paintbrushes (those that come apart to fit into their handle). It also perfectly fits in a larger interior pocket of the Sendak, which has been perfect. Travel brushes (when put away in their handle) can be too short for the Sendak pockets, and in the larger pockets they are too loose. Of course they can fit into a zippered pocked (but I've filled that with other small treasures), so this pouch is the perfect size to hold the brushes and tuck them away in a pocket. With 5-6 brushes stacked in the pouch, it remains at a slim profile and, as mentioned, perfectly fits in one of the larger interior Sendak pockets. Great solve! I bought the Spender pouch in Moss to carry my travel paint brushes and keep them contained in my grab-and-go art bag. It is the perfect size to hold my 2,4,6,8 travel rounds and a dismantled, empty water brush. Now all my favorite travel brushes have a home and they’re not rolling around loose in somewhere in the depths of my bag. The Moss is an absolutely gorgeous color, too!
