Our All the Names jewelry collection incorporates small brass frames from mid-1800s Daguerreotype and Ambrotype hinge cases that once framed faces whose names are forever lost.
When we come into contact with the past through old journals, well-worn objects, family stories, &c, we are altered by them and them by us. The same is true in the making and experiencing of objects that incorporate elements or stories from the past. What seems immutable is, by dint of our footfalls in the dusty attic, made different.
As the rings stack, new journeys unfold. With All the Names we offer the possibility to wear a fragment of someone’s history that changes yet again when a ring slips onto your finger, or a pendant around your neck.

I instantly fell in love with these rings!
As an avid antique store hunter and an appreciator of forgotten objects, art and design, this re-imagining of old frames absolutely blows my mind. It’s not often one encounters an idea so original and truly inspired. I admire them over and over, and ponder at the swirling decorations- beautiful and almost forlorn, so different from the script of today’s hands…
The paper ring boxes and foldouts are a wonderful experience in themselves. Even the impossibly soft and mysterious filling in the box gave me a thrill- All aspects being sensory delights- Peg and Awl certainly make treasures!
Thank you for the wonderful customer service as well! Can’t wait to get “Dorian” next!

My daughter has been wanting the Beatrice ring since it was first introduced. I have been wanting the purselane ring. Our birthdays are a week apart and I decided to celebrate by giving us each what we have been waiting for! We are BOTH thrilled with the simple beauty and uniqueness...

I love my Beatrice Ring! I normally don’t spend money on rings but I love Peg and Awl’s things and was intrigued by the different styles. I got it in bronze although I normally wear silver and don’t regret it. It is a very unique, beautiful ring. People are always asking if it is an old family heirloom. I love that it is made from Daguerreotype Frames. There is something very comforting about objects that have survived time, like people they have a story to tell.
I chose this ring for both the design and name. My maternal grandmother was Beatrice. Then found out that Margaux named it after her grandmother. Our shared stories always makes the world smaller than we think.
I highly recommend this ring.
